Dentists on Inactive Practice

Dentists on Full Registration who has no intention to engage in active practice of dentistry (for reasons such as pursuing higher education or accompanying spouses overseas etc), may apply for Did-Not-Apply-Licence (DNAL) status.

Another category of dentists whom may be placed under DNAL status are those on Full Registration who have not renewed their practicing certificate after expiry date.

Under section 20(2) of Dental Registration Act, a dental professional is only allowed to stay “On” register for a period up to 5 years before his/her name is removed from register.
