ATTENTION TO: ALL C-REG DENTISTS WISHING TO TAKE PART IN DENTAL VOLUNTEER WORK IN SINGAPORE

Conditionally-registered dentists who are planning to volunteer their time to serve the community must inform the Council of the details of their volunteer dental work at least 14 days in advance.

Please write to SDC@spb.gov.sg with the following details:
(i) Location of volunteer work
(ii) Frequency i.e. once-off / monthly / quarterly
(iii) Start and end date
(iv) Nature of dental work to be carried out
(v) Approval by current approved 1st supervisor to undertake the volunteer work
(vi) Full name and DCR number of Div I Fully-registered supervisor(s) with at least 5 years post-BDS experience who will be supervising the volunteer dental work during the volunteering period if he/she is not the 1st approved supervisor

Council would like to iterate that Conditionally-registered dentists must be under the supervision of a Council-approved supervisor at all times, as long as he/she is undertaking clinical practice and performing dental procedures on patients in Singapore. 

Please note that volunteering hours would not count towards supervision hours.
