New Practising Certificate Fee From 1 February 2025

From 1 February 2025, the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) will revise its fee for practising certificate (PC).

2. The fee for a new PC or renewal of PC will increase by $100, from $450 to $550 per year. Doctors who submit their application for a new PC or renew their PCs from 1 February 2025 will pay the new fee of $550 per year.

Nine More Overseas Medical Schools Recognised

With effect from 1 January 2025, the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Singapore Medical Council (SMC) will recognise nine more overseas medical schools for registration with SMC. The additions will bring the total number of recognised overseas medical schools from 103 to 112 in the Second Schedule of the Medical Registration Act 1997.

Renewal of Practising Certificates for Registered Doctors

To access the Professional Registration System (PRS), you will need Singpass and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to login:

For Singpass Eligible User:
Please set up SMS 2FA or download Singpass Mobile in order to log in to PRS. Click here for more information on how to setup your 2FA.

For Non Singpass Eligible User:
Please set up 2FA using Google Authenticator (GA) in order to protect your login to the PRS. Click here [PDF, 392KB] for more information on how to set up your 2FA on GA.

For HR personnel/CPE Providers:

Please log in using both a Singpass user account and an existing SMC account.

Please note that since 11 April 2021, corporate users are required to login to government digital services for businesses (G2B) using Singpass. Find out more: https://go.gov.sg/corporate-login
