Renewal of Practising Certificate for Year 2024

Apply for your Practising Certificate(s) for Year 2024

The Singapore Nursing Board issues practising certificates (PCs) to all nurses and midwives on its Register and Roll. The renewal for the PC for Year 2024 starts from 1 Sep 2023. Please note that this is NOT applicable for nurses/midwives who are on PROVISIONAL registration/enrolment.

Nurses/Midwives who have not practised nursing for a continuous period of 5 years are required to attend a Return-to-Nursing programme before they can practise nursing again. This applies to those nurses/midwives who are holding a valid PC and have not practised nursing/midwifery for the past 5 years.

It is the responsibility of the individual nurse or midwife to apply and pay for the renewal of PC no less than 1 month before the expiry date of the current PC (31 Dec 2023).

All nurses/midwives must submit an online application for the renewal of PC for Year 2024 using their Singpass. Please email to SNB at SNB@spb.gov.sg if you have login issues.

For nurses/midwives who are on existing GIRO scheme, they must submit an online application for the renewal of PC by 30 Sep 2023, before the deduction will be made from their bank account on 6 Oct 2023.

Nurses/midwives who are on existing GIRO or Employer Pay On Behalf (EPOB) scheme and do not submit an online application for the renewal of the PC by 30 Sep 2023, will have to submit an online application for the renewal of the PC and pay for the PC for Year 2024 by other payment modes.

A late application fee for PC will be charged if the online application for the renewal of the PC is made after 30 Nov 2023.

Late Application Fees for Practising Certificate are:

a) Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse (Psychiatric) $40
b) Registered Midwife or Enrolled Nurse $30
c) Registered Nurse (Advanced Practice) $30

There shall be no refund once payment is made unless there are valid justifications. For such cases, a written request must be submitted which includes your name, registration/enrolment number, amount paid and reasons.
