The Optometrists and Opticians Board has revised its Supervisory Framework Guidelines for all provisionally registered practitioners with effect from 1 March 2018.
For information, the main changes are summarised below:

Guidelines for Optometrist
|
Case category, “Paediatric (< 16 years old)”, will be replaced by a new description “Binocular Vision Dysfunction”

Guidelines for Optician (Refraction & Dispensing)
|
Empty fields in history taking section in the record template are replaced and pre-filled with commonly-encountered conditions and “check-boxes” to indicate in accordance to patient’s response.

“Frequently-Asked Questions” in the guidelines for both optometrists and opticians
