Continuing Professional Education

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) consists of educational activities that serve to maintain, develop or increase the knowledge, skills and professional performance of registered allied health professionals (AHPs).

All registered AHPs are strongly encouraged to engage in CPE to ensure that they maintain high standards of practice and to keep abreast of new developments in their respective professions. The provision of quality and up-to-date allied health services is of utmost importance to safeguard the public’s interest.

Whilst participation in CPE activities is currently voluntary, mandatory CPE would be implemented in the future as part of the requirements for the renewal of an AHP’s practising certificate.
