Specialists Accreditation Board (SAB)

The Specialists Accreditation Board determines the qualifications, experience and other conditions; as well as the training programmes which are to be recognised for registration as specialists under the Medical Registration Act.

Joint Committee on Specialist Training (JCST)

The Joint Committee on Specialist Training (JCST) is appointed by the Specialist Accreditation Board to oversee the accreditation of training departments and institutions in Singapore as well as specialist training. The JCST is responsible for establishing and upholding the professional standards and quality of specialist training in Singapore including the evaluation of trainees' training and exit examinations.

Residency Advisory Committee (RAC)

To support the SAB, the Residency Advisory Committees were appointed to advise on specialist training matters related to Residency which includes setting the requirements, standards and assessments for the residency programmes. The administration of the residency training is conducted by Program Directors (PD) of the specialties from each Sponsoring Institution (SI).
