Renewal of Practising Certificate for Year 2023

Apply for your Practising Certificate(s) for Year 2023

The Singapore Nursing Board issues practising certificates (PC) for all nurses and midwives on its Register and Roll. The renewal for your practising certificate for Year 2023 starts from 1 Sep 2022. Please note that this is NOT applicable for nurses/midwives who are on PROVISIONAL registration/enrolment.

Nurses/Midwives who have not practised nursing for a continuous period of 5 years are required to attend a Return-to-Nursing programme before they can practise nursing again. This applies to those nurses/midwives who are holding valid practising certificates and have not practised nursing/midwifery for the past 5 years.

It is the responsibility of the individual nurse or midwife to apply and pay for the renewal of the practising certificate no less than 1 month before the expiry date (currently 31 Dec 2022).

All nurses/midwives will be required to submit an online application for renewal of their practising certificate for Year 2023 using their Singpass. Please email to SNB at SNB@spb.gov.sg if you do not have your login details.

For nurses/midwives on GIRO, you must submit an online application for practising certificate renewal by 30 Sep 2022, before deduction will be made from your account on 07 Oct 2022.

Nurses/midwives on GIRO or Employer Pay On Behalf (EPOB) scheme who did not submit their applications by 30 Sep 2022 will need to renew their practising certificate for Year 2023 by other payment modes.

A late application fee for practising certificate will be charged if the application is made after 30 Nov 2022.

Late Application Fees for Practising Certificate are:

a) Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse (Psychiatric) $40
b) Registered Midwife or Enrolled Nurse $30
c) Registered Nurse (Advanced Practice) $30

There shall be no refund once payment is made unless there are valid justifications. For such cases, a written request must be submitted which includes your name, registration/enrolment number, amount paid and reasons.
