Announcement

We would like to inform you that the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) Elections will be held from Wednesday, 21 May (0800 hrs) to Tuesday, 3 June 2014 (2359 hrs). Please note that all fully-registered medical practitioners who hold valid practising certificates during the Election period will be required to vote. Doctors who are overseas during the Election period will be exempted from voting if they are able to provide documentary evidence of their overseas status.

The Election documents, which include the candidates’ information and voting instructions, have been mailed to you. If you do not receive the documents by 12 May 2014, please contact us and we will re-send the documents to you via email. We would like to remind you that doctors who fail to vote without a valid reason will be required to pay a fine of $500. Please note that if the fine is not paid, you will also not be able to renew your practising certificate when it next expires.
