1.     The Singapore Medical Council (SMC) Election 2023 is ongoing till Tuesday, 2 May 2023 (11.59pm).

2.     Voting is conducted online via the Professional Registration System (PRS) at the SMC website. Please log in to PRS using your SingPass. You may access the PRS login page by clicking on this link.

3.     Please note that the online voting system will close after Tuesday, 2 May 2023 (11.59pm) and no votes can be cast thereafter.

4.     All the candidates’ Curriculum Vitae (CV) can be viewed on the Election Page. 

Voting is compulsory

5.     We wish to remind you that voting is compulsory for all fully registered medical practitioners resident in Singapore who have a valid practising certificate during the election period1.

6.     A doctor who is required to vote and fails to do so shall not be entitled to apply for a practising certificate unless he/she satisfies the Registrar that he/she had a good and sufficient reason for not voting at the election; or he/she pays to SMC a penalty of $5002.

7.     Provisionally registered (P-reg), temporarily registered (T-reg) and conditionally registered (C-reg) doctors are not required to vote in the SMC election.
