1.   The Singapore Medical Council (SMC) Election 2019 is ongoing till Tuesday, 16 July 2019 (11.59pm).

 

2.   Voting is to be done online via the Professional Registration System (PRS) using your SingPass. You may access the PRS login page by clicking on this link.

 

3.   Please note that the online voting system will close after Tuesday, 16 July 2019 (11.59pm) and no votes can be cast thereafter.

 

4.   The Curriculum Vitae (CV) of all the candidates standing for election have been uploaded on the PRS under the “Election” tab for voters to view. In the CVs, the candidates have provided information on why they are standing for election, their aspirations and planned contributions to the Council.

 

5.   All fully registered medical practitioners resident in Singapore who have in force a practising certificate during the election period are required to vote. A doctor who is required to vote and who fails to do so shall not be entitled to apply for a practising certificate unless he/she satisfies the Registrar that he/she had a good and sufficient reason for not voting at the election; or he/she pays to SMC a penalty of $500.
