Accredited Training
All candidates must have good standing in an ACGME-I accredited graduate medical education programme or an approved alternative.
Eligibility for the FM Examination (MCQ) is as follows:
All candidates must be in their final year of Family Medicine Residency training or equivalent training at the time of the exam application and must be endorsed by their Programme Directors.

The full-time residency training must fulfill all accredited training requirements set forth by ACGME-I and those specified under Singapore’s Country Addendum, unless otherwise specified by FMTAC under JCFMS.
Residents are expected to be competent in the six (6) ACGME-I General Competencies:
- Patient care and procedural skills,
- Medical knowledge,
- Practice-based learning and improvement,
- Interpersonal and communication skills,
- Professionalism and
- Systems-based practice.
Verification of the fulfilment of these requirements will be provided by the Programme Directors.
