Apply for your Practising Certificate(s) for Year 2013

The Singapore Nursing Board issues practising certificates (PC) for all nurses and midwives on its Register and Roll. The renewal for your practising certificate for Year 2013 starts from 1 Sept 2012. Please note that this is NOT applicable for nurses/midwives who are on PROVISIONAL registration/enrolment.

It is the responsibility of the individual nurse or midwife to apply and pay for the renewal of the practising certificate no less than 1 month before the expiry date (currently 31 Dec 2012).

A late application fee will be charged if the application is made after 30 Nov 2012.

Late Application Fees for Practising Certificate are:

a) Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse (Psychiatric) $40
b) Registered Midwife or Enrolled Nurse $30
c) Registered Nurse (Advanced Practice) $30

To apply for the renewal of Practising Certificate, you must:

a) Complete Declaration on your fitness to continue nursing/midwifery practice; and
b) Make Payment (the SNB Fee for Application/Renewal for Practising Certificate is applicable)

There shall be no refund once payment is made unless there are valid justifications.  For such cases, a written request must be submitted which includes your name, registration/enrolment number, amount paid and reasons.

Notification for the Renewal of Practising Certificate for Year 2013

The package for the Renewal of Practising Certificate for Year 2013 will be posted out to all eligible nurses/ midwives on 28 Aug 2012.

Note:

  1. Nurses/ midwives who are eligible and wish to opt for Employer Pay On Behalf (EPOB) scheme must renew online by 30 Sep 2012.
  2. GIRO deduction will be carried out on 1 Oct 2012 for nurses already on GIRO scheme.

Nurses/Midwives are required to inform SNB of any changes in particulars within 28 days of the change.

For SUCCESSFUL Renewal of Practising Certificate

The Practising Certificate will be sent to your residential address by the end of December 2012.

If you do not receive your Practising Certificate by 10 January 2013, please contact us immediately.

Note:
Your registration/enrolment as nurse/midwif
e will be cancelled if you did NOT renew your practising certificate for a continuous period of 5 years. Once cancelled, you are required to attend a Return-to-Nursing/Midwifery programme before you can apply for Re-registration/Re-enrolment to practise nursing/midwifery.
