Licensure Examinations are part of the process of application for registration/enrolment with SNB.  Foreign trained nurses/midwives (on a case by case basis) are required to sit for the SNB Registered Nurse (RN), Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Registered Midwife (RMW) Licensure Examinations. The examination is designed to evaluate their competency to practise nursing/midwifery in Singapore.

When applications for registration/enrolment are received, SNB will assess whether the applicants are required to sit for the examinations.

If you are required to sit for a Licensure Examination, SNB will notify you of the date and venue of the Examination via a Notification Letter. The SNB Fee for Licensure Examination is applicable.

You are required to be at the examination venue at least half an hour before the examination starts. You may NOT be allowed into the examination venue if you are late, in which case you would need to re-apply to sit for another examination.

The examination is a one hour paper. They are conducted monthly (except for RN Licensure Examination). Please refer to Scheduled Dates for SNB Licensure Examination for more details.
