For someone who is considering pursuing a dental degree in Singapore, or is a dentist and would like to pursue a higher degree, the following links may be useful:

Training for dentists

Dental education in Singapore - Currently, the National University of Singapore (NUS) is the only institution offering a full-time dental degree course. Interested applicants will have to meet the entry requirements laid down by the Faculty of Dentistry, NUS.  Details of the undergraduate and graduate courses can also be obtained here.

Dental education overseas - Individuals may also pursue dental courses conducted by overseas institutions. Council will grant registration to those who hold a degree in dentistry listed in the List of Registrable Degrees.

Continuing Professional Education - it is essential that dental professionals constantly update their skills and knowledge to keep up with the rapid changes in dental practices. A list of available courses can be found in the Events Search.

Training for oral health therapists

Dental education in Singapore - Currently, the Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) is offering a 3 years full-time Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy Course. For more information on the course, please refer to http://www.nyp.edu.sg.

Dental education overseas  - Individuals may also pursue dental courses conducted by overseas institutions. Council will grant registration to those who hold a qualification obtained from SDC-recognised qualifications.
