The following criteria must be met for events accreditation:

i. Qualified instructors
  • The instructor(s) must have the relevant experience to conduct the courses.

ii. Event/ Course Contents
  • Contents of the activities should be relevant to dental professionals.

iii. Non-commercial
  • Courses conducted should not be for the purpose of promoting any product.
  • Any events organised solely by commercial companies will not be accredited unless the activities are co-organised with SDC accredited CPE providers or Ad-Hoc providers. Accreditation applications and submission of attendance records electronically must be done by the accredited co-organiser.

iv. Hands-on courses (if applicable)
  • Depending on the type of hands-on courses, there should be a proper ratio of instructors to participants.

v. Financial and Administrative Responsibilities

Providers have to assume the financial and administrative responsibilities in planning, publicizing and offering relevant events/ courses to dental professionals.

Validity of Accreditation

Accreditation of events for Ad-hoc Providers is only valid till the expiry of the last event.
